It starts as circles on a napkin, moves into a spreadsheet and ends in a late-night group chat. Every late confirmation shifts a chair and every cancellation leaves a gap. Then, once it finally works, the problem moves to the venue: a printed list taped by the door and people wandering with a plate in hand. The plan needs to live where the RSVPs live, and guests need to check it on their own.
What the seating planner includes
A floor plan, not a list
Place the tables where they will really stand: round, rectangular, square, oval or serpentine, each with its own capacity and seat layout. Sketch the dance floor, the stage or the bar for orientation, and keep the ceremony and the reception as separate spaces.
Every person in a specific chair
You drag each attendee to a seat, not a whole invitation onto a pile. A running count shows how many confirmed guests are seated and how many still have nowhere to sit, so you know when the plan is genuinely finished.
An AI-suggested arrangement
When you run out of ideas, the AI spreads your confirmed guests across the tables that still have room and you accept, adjust or throw it away. It only receives capacities and identifiers — your guests' names never leave your wedding.
Guests find their own table
From their link they type their name and see which table is theirs. No printed list at the entrance, no one repeating the same answer all night, and last-minute moves show up right away.

1. Lay out the room
Create a space from the app or from Momentio Studio on your computer, add tables with their shape and capacity, and arrange them the way the venue will set them. Add whatever landmarks help you read the room, and the plan is there.
2. Seat your guests
Drag people from your confirmed list onto seats, or ask for a suggestion and fine-tune it by hand. Changes save as you work, so there is never a second version of the same plan.
3. Share it with whoever needs it
Export the plan as an image or a PDF, together with the list of who sits where, for the catering team — and let guests look up their seat from their own link.
Tables fill up with the people who actually said yes
A standalone seating tool is out of date the moment you open it: you fill it with whatever list you had that day. In Momentio the plan reads your RSVPs directly, so the only people waiting to be seated are the ones who confirmed, with the companions they said they were bringing.

Questions about seating plans
How does each guest find their table on the day?
From their invitation link they open the seat finder, type their name and see the table they have been assigned. It runs in the phone browser with nothing to install, and it only works with their own code, so the arrangement is never exposed to strangers.
Can I change the seating at the last minute?
Yes. Move anyone you need and free up the chair of whoever cancels, whenever you want. Nothing to reprint and no one to notify: the next time a guest checks their seat, they see the current version.
Can I take a printed plan to the venue?
Yes. Export the plan as an image or a PDF, with the full list of guests and the table each of them belongs to, ready to hand to the caterer, the coordinator or whoever greets people at the door.
