Wedding checklist
The wedding checklist that tells you when
Start from a task list that is already written and grouped by how long is left. Keep the ones your wedding actually needs, watch each one take its date from your wedding day, and add the tasks nobody else has.
Getting started is free: plan the whole wedding without paying. You pay once, per wedding, when you publish the invitation.
Planning a wedding is not hard. Remembering all of it is
Planning starts scattered: notes on a phone, saved screenshots, a thread with your mother and a notebook that lives in a bag. Every list says something different and none of them says when. And since nobody plans weddings often, the hard part is not doing the tasks: it is knowing which ones should already be done nine months out, three months out and in the final week. A task without a date is a good intention, not a task.
What your checklist includes
Every task has a date, not a someday
Each task works out its own date from your wedding day, so the list arrives sorted by urgency. You can set your own date, a time and the place of the appointment, and anything you let slip is flagged as overdue.
61 tasks written for a real wedding
Paperwork, vendors, fittings, the gift registry, rooms for guests travelling in. Religious tasks sit next to civil-only ones: you tick the ones that apply to your wedding and the rest never show up.
You see how far you have come
A progress bar at the top and tasks grouped by period: twelve months or more, nine, six, three, one month and the final week. Filter to a single period when you only want to see what is due now.
The day itself, hour by hour
Beyond the checklist you build the running order: every moment with a start and end time, a place and who it is for. It covers the day before, the wedding day and the day after, and exports to PDF for your vendors.
From the first task to the day-of schedule
1. Choose your tasks
Create your wedding and open the checklist, in the app or in Momentio Studio on your computer. Go through the 61 suggested tasks and keep what applies, or start from a blank list and write your own instead.
2. Give them dates
Each task shows up on the date it is due, counted back from your wedding day. Adjust any of them, add a time and a place, and tick them off as you go.
3. Build the running order
Write out the moments of the day with their times, places and audience. Export the PDF for your team, and your guests read the same schedule inside their invitation.
A checklist that knows when your wedding is
A standalone list in a notes app does not know your date, your headcount or your venue, which is why you always end up updating it by hand. Here the checklist lives inside the same wedding as everything else, so the planning and the event tell one story.
- Dates are counted back from your wedding day, so moving the date moves the whole plan with it.
- Checklist, guests, budget and seating are one wedding, not four separate apps.
- The running order becomes the itinerary your guests read inside the invitation.
Questions about the wedding checklist
When should I start planning my wedding?
Tasks are grouped from twelve months or more out down to the final week, so the list doubles as a starting calendar. If you have less time than that, filter to the period you are actually in and you will see what is due right now.
Can I use my own task list?
Yes. You can start from a blank list and write only your own tasks, or take the suggested list and add yours on top. You can also reset the checklist whenever you want and pick again from scratch.
Is the checklist the same as the day-of schedule?
No. The checklist organises the months before the wedding; the running order organises the hours of the event, including the day before and the day after. The first one is for you, the second one is what guests read in the invitation.
How much does the checklist cost?
Getting started is free: you create your wedding and plan all of it without paying. You pay once, per wedding, when you publish the invitation. There is no subscription.
