1. Information we collect
Momentio collects information to provide our services:
- Account information: email address and name.
- Wedding content: photos, text, dates and locations.
- Guest list: names and contact details you provide.
- Usage data: interactions with the application.
2. How we use your information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and improve our services.
- Create and display your digital invitations.
- Manage RSVPs.
- Send you notifications related to your wedding.
- Respond to your support requests.
3. Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Images are stored in cloud storage services with controlled access.
4. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With your guests when you share your invitation.
- With service providers that help us operate (hosting, analytics).
- When required by law.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information.
- Rectify incorrect data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a readable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies to keep your session active and improve your experience. We also use analytics tools to understand how our platform is used so we can improve it.
7. Security
We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure authentication and restricted data access.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data based on the Wedding Pass lifecycle:
- Active plan: your wedding and all its data are kept while your Wedding Pass is valid (18 months from purchase).
- Grace period: after expiration you have 60 days to download everything from the app before physical deletion.
- Email notices: we notify you 30, 7 and 0 days before expiration, and again 30, 7 and 0 days before final deletion.
- Physical deletion: 60 days after expiration we delete photos, messages, RSVPs and the wedding configuration from our servers. It is not recoverable.
- Transactional data: we keep purchase receipts for 5 years due to tax obligations (CFDI in Mexico), even after the wedding is deleted.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time from Settings. We will delete all associated data within a maximum of 30 days.
9. Guest data and collaborative gallery
When guests upload photos, messages or audio to a wedding's collaborative gallery, their role under the GDPR and LFPDPPP is different from that of the couple:
- The couple act as data controllers: they choose the purpose and means of their wedding's gallery.
- Momentio acts as data processor: we operate the infrastructure following the couple's decisions.
- Guests are data subjects with full rights over the photos and messages they upload. They can request the removal of their content directly from us by writing to hola@momentioapp.com, without going through the couple.
When the couple downloads their export ZIP at the end of the Wedding Pass, guest photos are included. This is covered by the usage license each guest accepts when uploading content to the gallery.
10. Minors
Momentio is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not intentionally collect information from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through the application or by email.
